Wild Boar Farm

Hilton Farm has been the home of Hilton Wild Boar for a decade and a half. The European Boar wander freely along the slopes of the fertile Earn Valley, living in small family groups. They live stress free lives and take longer to mature than conventionally farmed pigs.  The meat is ruby red in colour and has a marbling similar to top quality beef.

Hilton Wild Boar produce a large selection of fresh meat cuts; roasts, steaks, casserole, etc. They also dry cure their own back and streaky bacon as well as delicious Christmas hams.  In addition their speciality sausages, encased in natural skins, are delivered across the length and breadth of Britain to discerning customers. Flavours include; Cider & Apple, Honey & Mustard, Leek & Apricot, Prune & Claret.

Hilton Wild Boar also supply local shops and restaurants with their produce and attend other Scottish Farmers’ Markets on a weekly basis. They can also provide outside catering for parties and weddings and their jewel feast is a spit roasted Wild Boar.

Andrew & Willie Johnston were founder members of Perth Farmers’ Market in 1999 and they continue to support the cooperative movement on a monthly basis.

On a Farm Visit you can see the animals themselves, speak to the farmer and sit in the barn to enjoy  lunch in made from local produce.
